Conscious movement is a tool to go deep into your truth. Dancing to the body's ryhthm without speaking allows a journey of discovery into your emotional landscape, revealing many layers of story. Stepping into the unkown, giving weight and gravity to the beat of the music, creates a deep connection to the truth. Allowing the body to tell the truth, as the body does not lie. A connection to the layers of sound provides a landscape to create and develop new patterns of neural pathways and new ways of being. This is why this process is more than just dance. Conscious movement is therapeutic on a spiritual level, on an emotional level and can help create a deep connection to the soul's journey of discovery.
Shapes shift into formless pieces of energy
Kinetic sparks of light create connection
Connection on a soul level to who we really are
Co-creating a "dance" of the spirit, coming into form
through the heart and the body, not the mind
Coming into stillness and grace, accepting the
ebb and flow of emotions,
all one and all perfect.
Alchemy, transformation and love
into pure heart and pure celebration of the individual
unique self that can create miracles everyday and every moment.
We were blessed with the presence of Natalia KW at the last Conscious Movement on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014. Natalia is a shaman, ceremonialist & transformational healer. Her passion is facilitating profound transformations through the power of shamanic energy medicine. It is her deepest honor to call on her wisdom in guiding clients towards thriving health and unwavering happiness.
We set the tone for our rhythmic journey by dancing to a mix that was grounded in shamanic sounds such as drums and rattles. After we were "wide open" from the movement, Natalia led us on a sacred shamanic journey to connect with our spirit animal through a guided meditation. This was a great combination as people had connected and opening through the Conscious Movement mix and then were able to more easily connect and go deep.
I personally felt a deep connection afterwards, where my senses were heightened and there was a sense of peace and clarity.
Much gratitude for Natalia sharing her gifts with the Conscious Movement Sarasota community!

An opportunity to open to the divine feminine occurred on February 8th, 2014, at St. Boniface Episcopal Church. Led by Kimberly Braun and Darlene Coleman, a version of the Akathist was performed, an ancient chant, a hymn of praise for a miraculous event that saved a community through the intervening of Mary, The opening ceremony was an amazing serenade of flute and didgeridoo led by Mark Selis (Hukam) and Normen Schindowski, respectively. What made the event even more special was the surrounding icons created by contemporary artist Ludmila Pawlowska.. Inspired by traditional Russian icons, these modern day icons were so moving and soulful expressions of spirit and the love of the divine in all. The tones of these ancient chants, were healing and haunting on so many levels. The chants were enhanced by the soothing sounds created by Kathie Hayes on the handbells. What an honor and privilege it was to experience the sweet sounds and healing vibrations of the music.. The reverberations of the healing tones still reside in me as I feel blessed to be surrounded by the divine feminine in all.
What a blessing it is to live and love in Sarasota! Last night I was able to attend the Kirtan event at Prana Yoga and connect, something I love to do. I connected with amazing people in the spiritual community of Sarasota, I connected with sadness, with Joy, I connected with music, I connected with the ecstasy of dance, and I connected with the healing vibrations of sound. Connections that deepen my connection to the true source of spirit, where life is deep and rich and full.

What a blessing it is to be able to spend Christmas day on the beach with our wonderful dance tribe. Conscious Movement is not only about authentic movement, it is about building community. What does that mean? That means creating friendships, bonds, where we support each other in our growth, supporting each other in our livelihoods and supporting each other in creating love, kindness and Joy.
Sarasota is blessed to have an amazing cast of characters who are love and create love. How can you spread the love?
